Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to your use of the Elvanto website and to every order you place with us. Please read them before you buy.

1. About us
This website is operated by Elvanto, a UK retailer of lawn mowers, garden machinery and outdoor power equipment. Throughout the site, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Elvanto. Our contact details are at the end of these terms.
2. Using our website
By using this website you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. You may not use our website or products for any unlawful purpose or in a way that breaches any law in the United Kingdom.
We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of the website at any time without notice, and we may refuse service to anyone where we have good reason to do so.
3. Products and information
We take care to describe our products accurately, using information provided by the manufacturers. Images are for illustration and the colour or finish of a product may vary slightly from what you see on screen. Specifications may be changed by the manufacturer without notice; if a change is significant we will tell you before dispatch.
Products are subject to availability. If an item you have ordered is unavailable we will contact you to offer an alternative or a full refund.
4. Orders and contract
When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. We will send you an email acknowledging your order; this is not acceptance. A contract between us is formed only when we dispatch your goods and confirm this to you.
We may decline an order, for example where a product is unavailable, where we cannot obtain payment authorisation, where there is a pricing or description error, or where we suspect fraud. If we decline an order after payment has been taken we will refund you in full.
5. Prices and payment
- All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP).
- The total you will pay, including any delivery charges and other applicable charges, is shown at checkout before you confirm your order.
- Payment is taken at the time of order using the payment methods offered at checkout.
- If we discover a genuine pricing error on an item you have ordered we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel.
Our Billing Policy and Billing Terms & Conditions explain how payments are handled in more detail.
6. Delivery
We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom. Delivery timescales, the handling of large items and what to do if a delivery is late, lost or damaged are set out in our Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us.
7. Cancellation, returns and refunds
As a consumer buying online you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. We offer an extended returns window as described in our Refund & Returns Policy, which also explains how to return an item and when a refund will be made.
8. Faulty goods and your statutory rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the goods we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a product is faulty, contact us as soon as possible and we will arrange a repair, replacement or refund as the law requires. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
9. Manufacturer warranties
Many products are also covered by a manufacturer warranty. Where the manufacturer publishes warranty terms they appear in the product description. A manufacturer warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory rights. Keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase.
10. Safe use of machinery
Lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers and other powered equipment can be dangerous if misused. Always read the manufacturer's instructions before first use, wear appropriate protective equipment and keep machines out of reach of children. We are not responsible for loss or injury caused by use of a product contrary to the manufacturer's instructions.
11. Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to this, we are not liable for any loss that was not foreseeable when the contract was made, for business losses, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.
12. Intellectual property
The content of this website, including text, images, logos and design, belongs to Elvanto or our suppliers and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not copy or reuse it without our written permission.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on the website at the time you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
